We aim to be the leading player in the HR services industry, to consolidate the market and to develop our service offering. To achieve these goals, we have identified the following strategic focus areas: 

Development and utilization of digital services and platforms

VMP’s goal is to be a pioneer in the HR services industry in utilising digital solutions and platforms. Digital solutions both strengthen VMP’s internal processes and provide added value to our customers.

Among other benefits, the use of robotics process automation increases the scalability of operations, reduces the need for manual labor, improves the efficiency of operations and enables focusing on the core business. Robotics process automation can be utilised in mass transfers between systems, customer reports, the processing of travel invoices, payroll calculations and invoicing, among other tasks.

Currently we offer our customers, among other digital solutions, a digital service that enables real-time interface for monitoring recruitment processes, and online ability tests for conducting suitability assessments on job applicants.

Growth services

The growth service reform, which is related to the public sector’s regional government, health and social services reform, aims to promote business, employment and the availability of competent labor, as well as to respond to the needs of the changing work life. Should it pass, the reform would grow the HR services market in Finland, opening demand for services offered by private HR services companies.

We considers active participation in the development of the reform an important part of our strategy, and therefore we have been involved in the pilot stage as one of the providers of employment services. The employment services that VMP has offered in the pilot stage include staffing, CV clinics, career development advice and coaching for preparing for working life and job interviews.

Development of self-employment services

As work becomes more self-driven, project-based and independent of the location of the workplace, the nature of traditional employment changes. For VMP, the offering of self-employment services to companies, as well as to self-employed entrepreneurs, is a potential growth area. Bringing together self-employed individuals and customer companies is beneficial for example in situations where a traditional staffing  is unsuitable.

Offering self-employment services to self-employed entrepreneurs that work under business names is one potential growth area for VMP. The aim is to offer services with which self-employed entrepreneurs can outsource all their administrative tasks to VMP. The comprehensive service offering includes legal advice and invoicing services, as well as services relating to the payment of taxes.

Utilization of distribution channels for add-on sales of services

Along with seeking additional sales of its existing services, VMP utilises its network for distributing new services. In the pilot stage, VMP typically develops services at its own locations, and the best new service solutions are offered to potential target groups through the extensive distribution network.

Robotics process automation

VMP considers software robotics as a potential growth area. For example, VMP offers its customers robotics process automation that performs data work, which is a service provided via a cloud-based delivery method. Services based on robotics process automation are used, for instance, in mass transfers between systems, customer reports, the processing of travel invoices, payroll calculations and invoicing.

Training and learning services

Our aim is to develop our electronic services that help facilitate the onboarding of new employees and are available at anytime and anywhere. VMP also invests in the gamification of learning services to make learning more pleasant and motivating for employees.

Business acquisitions

VMP aims to expand its service range and to enter new sectors more rapidly through business acquisitions. VMP identifies potential acquisition targets in the staffing, recruitment, education and learning sector as well as companies focusing on robotics process automation. Through conducting several business acquisitions we have expanded our service offering.

Increasing the efficiency of operations

To improve efficiency, it is important for VMP to offer centralized group services in its nationwide organisation. The aim is to better utilise support functions, such as payroll administration, the accounting unit, the HR department, IT support and marketing at individual business locations. VMP also considers unifying operations as an important way for boosting efficiency.
